Adding new site/IP subnet into Unifi Controller

There are times in the Ubiquiti controller where you add another subnet and it doesnt add the APs. Here is what you need to do:

–Add another site and specify the subnet/network

Do the following to add the new APs into the other site:

– SSH into the AP and type: mca-cli
–Use default username/password as ubnt/ubnt
– Next type: set-inform http://[ip address for controller]:8080/inform

This will set the inform address for the UniFi AP to the IP address of the UniFi controller. You can now enter the controller and click to adopt the UniFi AP.

After you adopt the AP go back into the SSH gui and type
–set-inform http://[ip address for controller]:8080/inform

Now you should be good to go, make sure to upgrade the units to the latest firmware. This may require multiple reboots.
