Specific Responsibilities

  • Ability to answer multiple support calls
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues remotely
    • Issues include but not limited to: new user setup, printer troubleshooting, network connectivity, fileshare access
  • Great IT troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to interface with multiple clients on a daily basis
  • Office 365 management
  • Analyze complex IT business needs presented and recommend technical solutions; solve basic and complex IT malfunctions and performs troubleshooting
  • Document/coordinate LAN activity, backups, maintenance, server upgrades and patching
  • Maintain network hardware and software, including servers, peripherals, network nodes, terminals; implement WAN connectivity to meet requirements
  • Ability to work with multiple COTS products such as: McAfee ePO, Symantec EP, Symantec backup exec, APC, Dell, ETC
  • Strong knowledge in Microsoft server operating systems (2008, 2012) and Windows XP, 7, 8, 10, VMWare
  • Coordinates third party maintenance for network hardware, software and services
  • Support the network department in an administrative function during downtime for activities such as network department customer care calls, offering network services to clients
  • Willing to learn attitude, always maintaining top IT skills and learning new technologies
  • Other duties as assigned

Educational & Professional Credentials Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline (Computer Information Systems, Information System Technologies, Management Information Systems)
  • Minimum GPA 3.0
  • 3+ years in a related field, preferably in professional services and/or industry.  Education can be substituted for experience

Required Knowledge & Skills

  • Project management skills
  • Technical proficiency in multiple areas including: security, networking, administration, and hardware
  • Customer facing skills a must
  • Leadership in a team environment and fostering client relationships
  • Backup software, Hardware monitoring software, Windows 2000, 2003, 2008, 2012, XP, 7, 8
  • Active Directory
  • AD GPOs, Desktop support, troubleshooting
  • Nmap & wireshark experience a plus
