unable to send emails as they are getting stuck in drafts after sending — Exchange 2010

Sometimes you your emails get in drafts after you hit send.  This is usually caused by a correction in the transport agent.  We have seen this happen with Symantec Mail Security.

 

1.       Exchange power shell with elevated rights :

   C:Windowssystem32>Get-TransportAgent

2.       Disable the Symantec transport agent — SMSMSERoutingAgent,SMSMSESMTPAgent

                   –restart the Microsoft Exchange Mail Submission

3.       You may need to reboot
